NT-ware Device Support

uniFLOW is an extensive software platform designed to connect and help manage printers from different manufacturers. Whilst the complete functionality is supported and confirmed for all Canon iR and imageRUNNER Advance devices, uniFLOW and the uniFLOW Universal Driver can support, manage and account PS, PCL5 and PCL6/XL printers from a wide range of different manufacturers.

Testing of supported functionality is done by NT-ware on a regular basis. However, as there are many devices and manufacturers available in the field, it is impossible for any software manufacturer to test each device in advance.

If your desired device is not listed or tested yet, it doesn't mean it is not supported. To give a clear statement of whether it is supported or not, several tests must be done with the device and/or the driver(s). For conducting a device compatibility test, please contact NT-ware through your Canon sales manager or authorized reseller. NT-ware will request further information if necessary and in some cases might ask for your help in case a driver test is not sufficient and a test with a real device must be performed.

If it comes to spoolfile accounting only, in general the following printer languages are analyzable by uniFLOW:
PDL (Page Description Languages): UFR I, UFR II, GARO, PostScript (Level 3), PCL3 (no color detection supported), PCL5e/c, PCL6/XL, HP-GL, HP-GL2, HP-RTL, ESC/P2, KPDL
Meta Languages: Canon CPCA, Printer Job Language (PJL), Analyzable Printer Driver data (accounting via GDI / EMF), CAPT (Canon Advanced Printing Technology)
